Your mission
Lead a team of chemists and lab technicians that develop the polymer formulation and polycondensation process, including also liaising with external C(D)MOs and raw material suppliers while ensuring timelines, budgets, and performing risk management
Design a 10-30 t/a pilot scale batch polycondensation process for our innovative novel polyester-based polymers and take responsibility for the pilot plant assets containing all polycondensation reactors
Develop and scale up the formulation and the process for synthesizing polymers starting from monomer selection, adjusting additives like branching agents, chain extenders, catalysts, quenchers, stabilizers, etc.
Define analytical requirements for polymer characterization and establish analytical methods and procedures
Lay out the basics for depolymerization of your developed polymer formulations by exploring various solvolysis strategies
Lead your team by defining and rolling out working standards for planning, conducting, and documenting experiments
Define and establish safety standards for polycondensation processes and lab work
