Company Profilere.solution is an innovative recycling start-up founded in 2023 as a spin-off from RWTH Aachen University. The start-up´s vision is to establish a circular value chain for polyester-containing textile waste. re.solution developed a water- and chemical-efficient recycling process that can handle polyester-containing textile waste, including textile-specific impurities. The core USP of the company is the electrochemical separation technology for the polyester monomers, which is ready to be scaled from demo scale to industrial production within the next year. We are currently building and commissioning a semi-industrial pilot plant and preparing for full industrial scale-up. To strengthen our now seven-person team, we are looking for motivated professionals who bring expertise in textile or process engineering, business development, and/or project management, who want to accelerate the shift toward a truly circular textile and chemical industry.Your role as Process Engineer – Reaction chemistry (f/m/d):- As a reaction‐engineering specialist, you will develop the depolymerization step and contribute your expertise to overall process development.- Gain unique experience in the complex chemistry of textile depolymerization and become one of the leading experts in chemical recycling.- Plan and conduct experimental series for scaling up the process independently, while also keeping an eye on the upstream and downstream equipment for solid conveying and separation.- During the piloting phase, serve as the technical point of contact for selecting plant equipment and materials.- Qualify and select suppliers for key components and procure plant parts.Your profile:- Degree in process engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, energy technology, chemistry, environmental engineering, or a comparable discipline.- Experience in polymer chemistry, mechanical process engineering, chemical recycling of plastics, or handling fibrous materials at industrial scale (paper, biomass, etc.) is desirable.- Familiarity with technical regulations governing the operation of pressure equipment and the handling of hazardous substances.- Hands-on mentality, structured working style, and enthusiasm for pioneering scale-up work.- Excellent English and German skills. (English is a must, German is a plus)What we offer:- High-impact mission: Join a team that is fundamentally transforming the textile and chemical industries.- Freedom to create: Flat hierarchies, short decision paths, genuine trust in your expertise.- Personal growth: Work at the cutting edge of technology.- Flexible work setup: Trust-based working hours, home-office options, modern labs & offices.- Financial: Participate in our VSOP equity program and share directly in the company’s success.- Benefits: Access to the start-up scene, team events, and training opportunities.Ready to engineer the future of textile recycling?
